-
Dance: Dance with your baby to different types of music to develop rhythm and motor skills.
Play
-
Peek-a-Boo: Continue playing peek-a-boo, using hands, toys, or even a blanket.
-
Stacking Toys: Use stacking rings or blocks to help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
-
Water Play: Supervised water play with cups and floating toys during bath time can be both fun and sensory-rich.
Activities
-
Reading Time: Read books with bright pictures and textures to touch, encouraging early literacy and sensory exploration. Point, tell and ask the names of objects on each page, make up your own story or song to hold their attention for each page.
-
Mirror Play: Let your baby look at themselves in a mirror. They will enjoy making faces and movements.
-
Crawling/First Steps Games: Encourage crawling by setting up soft obstacles or using toys to motivate movement. Encourage first steps by holding onto soft furniture and entice them to take steps and reach for their favorite toy. Sit on the floor across from your partner and encourage with or without assistance to walk back and forth to each other. Lots of praise and cheering!
These activities support the baby’s cognitive, emotional, and physical development, making learning a joyful experience.
